"Texas-Sized" Fun for Kids at Typhoon Texas

Okay, #AustinMoms,

how have you been beating the Texas heat this summer?

Elijah and I love to get outdoors on the weekends, but with the temperatures at an all-time high, we have to find new ways to have fun. Insert, the best kept secret in North Austin!

This summer, I have partnered with Typhoon Texas Water Park to share our families experiences as season ticket holders through an exclusive blog series, as well as present multiple giveaways through my Instagram, @themimosamom, that include a chance for your family to win Any-Day Tickets to Typhoon Texas!

Typhoon Texas Water Park is nestled in the North Austin suburb of Pflugerville, TX, right off the 130 toll. Being a resident of Pflugerville and being minutes away from the park, its hard to not make it a frequent-family stop! The convenience of having a water park in North Austin and an affordable option to beat the heat this summer has been the greatest thing for our family, and I hope soon, yours too!

Typhoon Texas’s motto is GOOD. CLEAN. FUN. - and our first experience was nothing less than that! Our first visit was focused on Elijah, as we spent the majority of our time in the designated kids areas. I was so incredibly impressed with The Gully Washer, which is catered to kids ages 3 to 12. The Gully Washer features an 800-gallon water bucket and a play structure standing more than four stories tall. The play structure has more than 100 spray areas, eight platforms, seven different slides, elevated walkways and rope bridges. There is just so much fun to be had here by your little ones! Parents can wade in the pool right in front of the play structure, or are free to climb and play with their kiddos!

Another favorite of ours was Buckaroo Bayou, a beach-themed splash pad with slides, fountains, and other water activities for toddler-aged kids. Elijah had a blast running through the fountains! There are plenty of beach chairs both in the shade and in the sun for parents to relax, and even better, Typhoon Saloon, one of Typhoon Texas’s Bars, is located right next to Buckaroo Bayou, making it super convenient for parents to grab a drink while their kids play!

All-in-all, Typhoon Texas is a great place for families and kids of all ages. The environment is so lively and one-of-a-kind, you honestly forget you’re in Pflugerville and so close to home! Be sure to stay tuned the rest of the summer as I share the rest of my blog series and more of my families experiences at Typhoon Texas!

xo,
